Battle for Azeroth

We started 2019 finishing off the last of Uldir and gaining our own "ball-sack" mount aka Crawg from Glory of Uldir Raider

Battle of Dazar'Alor was on the horizon and we went into it with high hopes, clearing through heroic easily enough with some toughies along the way to challenge us - remember Mekkatorque and actually having to communicate with each other?! We finally slapped Jaina (with our Horde disguises) and then gained one mythic kill.

The strange semi-"tier" which was Crucible of Storms was a purple filled nightmare and took up a lot of our time and effort, Uu'nat fell to us several times, albeit only on heroic!

We then had a breath of fresh air with patch 8.2's release and the Eternal Palace loomed ahead where Queen Azshara herself taunted us. After her defeat we faced a rather tough time with Classic releasing and quite a few of our team quitting retail WoW or leaving for pastures new... We really felt something had to be done to continue as a raiding guild.

We knew for a while Frostmane - although our home for several years now - was a dying realm and without much recruitment options. So we took the risk to move to a higher pop server (Silvermoon, obviously! ;) ) luckily our active team members moved along with us, some with different names (Enyass is a mistake i won't forget ) some with new characters and we set up our new home! Since moving we have gained a lot of new members and killed 4 mythic bosses, which we really didn't think would have been possible had we stayed on Frostmane!

Thank you all for being a part of our awesome team and persevering (especially on Lady Ashvane, but we got the ugly cow!)

We have Ny'alotha, the Waking City raid just around the corner to look forward to and Shadowlands at the end of the year, let's prepare to beat the shit out of N'zoth and make 2020 great as a team!

Legion

We look mostly harmless, if danger, than just to ourselves, but looks can be deceiving.

We exploded Xavius, Gul´dan, Kil´Jaeden, then Argus and stylishly ended the whole Burning Legion. How did we do it? Simply: Titan-eating pandas!

Warlords of Draenor

We´ve cleared both Highmaul and Blackrock Foundry on heroic difficulty and killed the entry bosses on mythic before the next raid opened and got 4 bosses down in the first week of HFC with an amount flair that even we didn´t expect. While raiding the Foundry, we made a little detour and had a blast at guild meeting in Novi Sad, Serbia (decently documented on the forums for posterity) and during Hallow´s Eve, we applied our boots firmly onto Archimonde´s oversized ass, which we cemented by killing 7/11 mythic in HFC before Legion hit.

To see how it all went, check our gallery or some of the videos on the AnV Youtube channel.

Mists of Pandaria

We ran through tiers 14-16 like a knife through hot butter, getting several Ahead of the Curves among the first ten 25 man guilds on Frostmane. Under the gentle caresses of guild master tarilde´s iron fist, with Zombieomega and Kntemplator as our main tanks for most of the expansion, we got as far as Twin Consorts HC in ToT and mythic Malkorok before getting a collective break from SoO in April 2014. Six months later we returned and finished the job, nabbing mythic Garrosh before Warlords arrived. You can see our first Garrosh HC kill here and the mythic one here

We also had fun with guild challenge modes, getting the gold conqueror achievements for everyone who was into cool transmog and mounts.

Cataclysm

coming soon! (tm)

Vanilla through Wrath of the Lich King

The history of AnV from 2007 when it was founded, up to Wrath of the Lich King has been wonderfully captured by Melkejal, the founder and first Guild Master of our guild. His whole account of this part of our story can be found here.
